After dealing with Dreamhost (DH) for nearly three years, I've
finally had enough. When I originally signed up with DH, I was happy with the
service and the speed of my website; however, over the past year it's
slowed to a crawl. On many days, the site wouldn't load at all. I'm not the
only one complaining, and it appears that DH not only oversells, but has moved me
to a slower server. I understand that a webhost cannot really sell almost
unlimited disk space and bandwidth for a few bucks a month, but I want
something that will just work. I have found that "something"...I am proud to
announce that my web sites are now hosted at NearlyFreeSpeech (NFS). NFS
charges for actual use (both disk space and bandwidth). I'm very happy with
the speed, and I estimate I will spend about half of what DH was charging.
